Earlier this evening, I started getting the following message when I click on a link in an email: This operation has been canceled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Now my problem is, after the attack, my library folder can not open, when I click on this matter, I got a restriction message out like that – “this operation has been cancelled due to Restrictions in effect on the present Computer. We upgraded some of our Windows XP SP2 desktops to IE8 and now users are reporting that they are getting the following error message while trying to open links from within MS Word “The operation has been canceled due to restrictions in effect on this computer”.
