But if I remember, by default the midi template that is active has all the Pad Pages set up for the full KB octave range. When in Midi mode, you should see the Group buttons light up. GidiJun 26, Ok thanks lohic for the pointers Ian. Like x 2. The iac driver is a workaround. Ha, ok. One step ahead of you I was indeed talking ccontroller getting midi into logic. So you are trying to set maschine up as a control surface, I guess?
Just did something similar with maschine controller logic pro x free launchpad mini mk3. Works great: zooming, play live loops, shortcuts etc, all controllable from the launchpad. However, maschine controller logic pro x free has nothing rfee do with what you are trying to achieve. You dont need to noodle z the IAC driver at all. What you need is the controller editor application from native instruments at best. Additionally, the Environment is useful if you are using multiple midi controllers controlling multiple plugins.
But again, this also has nothing to do with the plug and play scenario you are chasing. So ignore the Environment, for now. Last edited: Jun 26, Except for probably the surround features all settings should be set to advanced. If you run logic pro x for the first time, it is basically garageband.
