I’ve never had to re-map any buttons or mess with my controller. I love this service, and the app worked great for a bit, but then I ran into some gamepad issues. I have the Gamesir X2 xbox partner controller and more often than not, the inputs get stuck on the main page, and when I move the joystick down, it auto moves it to the top or left.

Start with Step 4 to turn off Startup freeloaders which can conflict and cause issues, then Step 7 to check for infection the most thorough way, then step 10 to check for damaged System Files, and also Step 16 to test a new Local Admin account. Then continue with the other steps to go over your install most thoroughly. This reinstalls Windows while keeping files, programs and most settings in place, and is also the most stable method to advance to the latest version.

Watch out for ads on the sites that may advertise products frequently classified as a PUP Potentially Unwanted Products. Step 19 of which is what I have resorted to in the end. I have performed a repair upgrade using the current windows 10 ISO, its nice to know I can keep my programs and settings and essentially not lose anything, minus a few system preferences and external device drivers, but those reinstalled quickly by just plugging the devices back in.

Meaning that I am now receiving some, but not all of the Xbox associated notifications. Regardless this is a good step in the right direction in my books.

I’m not mentally prepared enough to go through a clean install at this point but I have hope that if this repair upgrade added at least one app back, that maybe the next windows feature update may help my system to recognise the rest of the apps, and may fully remedy the issue.
